AP English Literature & Composition

This course includes intensive study of representative works from both American and British authors in various genres and time periods, concentrating on works of recognized literary merit. Students will learn the structure of the AP Literature exam, literary analysis writing, literary time periods, the history of the English language, poetry, and class and individual novel exploration. They will write using AP Literature Exam prompts, practice sample multiple choice questions, and discuss major themes and ideas in literature.
