Laura Shotliff
My name is Laura Shotliff, and I will be teaching English this year. I’m married, and I have three furry cat-children: Toulouse, Spirit, and Missandei. It is very important to me to adopt geriatric and special needs cats, so we’ve had a lot of pets in our home over the years. In my spare time I like to read, bowl, do community theatre, and travel. I am also passionate about baseball! I have a bachelor’s degree in English and theatre from UW-River Falls, I earned my teaching certification at Carroll College, and my Master’s degree in Education comes from Cardinal Stritch. (A little secret? I did my Master’s degree entirely online and only went to campus once—to pick up my cap and gown for graduation!) I taught for 25 years in one school district, and I retired in 2024, but I missed teaching so much, I came back to teach online part-time.
