Tonja Brown

Hello!  My name is Tonja Brown.  I have lived in Mora, MN for close to 30 years, but will always be a California girl at heart.  I have three adult kids, with my youngest daughter getting her MA to teach Science at the High School level.

I started my career at St. Cloud State University teaching ELL to new to the USA students, then went on to be a district-wide K-12 ELL in St Francis, MN. My last 7 years have been teaching 7th & 8th grade Language Arts, Journalism, and many elective courses at a charter school in Isanti, MN.

For fun, I love to travel whenever possible.  I've traveled to a number of countries, but my favorite travel memory was taking a group of 7^th & 8^th Graders in 2025 for a week to New York.  I have three dogs and do dog training.  The youngest dog and I are working to compete in Agility and Rally.

I am excited to be at iForward and cannot wait to meet all of you!
